Conversion?

It's not about converting someone to Christianity but about sharing the love of Christ with them. Conversion is just another one of man's formulas to feed his pride and control others by the mindset that now we have a new convert, we can tell them what to do, how to live, etc. What I'm referring to here is how in churches, it's stressed to win souls for Christ. We have an alter call and think that we have done something great. How can relationship flow out of seeing someone as a project, someone who needs to be "fixed?" Doesn't that somehow elevate us as superior to them? Are we "better" than they are because we have the title of "Christian?" What did we do to become a Christian, other than receive the beautiful gift of God's grace? We are all on the same playing field.

Just sharing some thoughts.....
